This has been a year of TRUSTING THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEART!...LEANING NOT ON OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING...AND IN ALL OUR WAYS, ACKNOWLEDGING HIM.
Our reality is that through the trials of the past two years, the Lord is growing a mountain of faith in our lives that can not be shaken. He is growing roots in us that run so deep that when a droubt comes, we will have a steady flow of water from the river of life. He is showing us what it is like to live with little and trust him so that when he gives us much, we will remember the days of lean and will continue to trust in the Lord.
Do not fear! Though the elections look bleak, do not fear! The Lord who is the Creator of the universe has not suddenly lost control of our situations. The Lord is faithful...do not fear! Do not fear! Run to the Lord with your frustrations, immerse yourself in trusting, just do not fear!
Anxiety is mounting in the world, but the Lord says "do not fear"! He is the God who sets up kings and deposes them. He is the God who knows that which lies in darkness and descerns deep and hidden things. He is in control. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. Nothing "slips by" Him. Do not fear!

We had pictures taken while in Shell Lake this past Thanksgiving. We spent the holiday with Kris' side of the family as we do every year. Just look at all these kids! 8 of them with one more on the way!
We would like to say it was quite uneventful, but that is not the truth. Erik had emergency dental work done the first thing on Friday morning after spending every hour of the night pacing in pain. He spent 6 hours having his teeth worked on or getting to and from the dentist on Friday. He is sure happy to not be in pain! So for Thanksgiving this year: We were all thankful for teeth that do not hurt and that Erik's teeth are being fixed.
Happy birthday Erik! We celebrated Erik's birthday three times this year. Once with my side of the family, and once with Erik's side of the family, and once with a group of friends. It was a nice week.
